Justice Justice You Shall Pursue:
Answering God's Call to Protect Children
This year's Children’s Sabbath, “Justice, Justice You Shall Pursue: Answering God's Call to Protect Children", will be observed on the weekend of October 21-23, 2011. Through worship, prayer, and actions, faith communities will affirm children as the primary blessing God has given us and commit together to working to end child poverty.

Mobilizing Families to Ensure Child Wellbeing
With child poverty in Minnesota on the rise, and the recession impacting children at disproportionate rates, now more than ever it is crucial that we work with our legislators to ensure that our children are protected in the legislative process.
This past session, in the face of a $5 billion budget deficit, tough cuts were made to programs that support vulnerable children. In the next year we will be working with community partners to enact legislation that will mobilize families to ensure child wellbeing. Learn more by joining us on Tuesday, September 20th at noon for our Children's Sabbath Webinar where we will be discussing how congregation will play a vital role in this movement in the coming year.
